Currently I am a Phase 3 midwifery student

All care will be directly supervised by a licensed midwife


12-30 weeks once a month in clinic

Initial visit at 12 weeks/ Nutrition review and initial labs

24 weeks Discuss Gestational Diabetes testing options

28 weeks review food and sugar log

30 weeks-36 weeks biweekly in clinic

If planning for a water birth please order pool liner. hose and fish net by 35 weeks

By 36 weeks have all extra supplies and pool items in location birth will take place

36 week Lab draw to check hemoglobin and GBS swab

37 week Home visit

38 week-birth weekly in clinic

****LABOR and BIRTH****

Immediate Postpartum

During this time I will stay with you until you are cleaned up, you have been fed, baby has nursed, newborn exam is complete, you are snuggled into bed, birth space is cleaned up and postpartum instructions have been given.

Typically this is between 2-3 hours

Postpartum Support

24-36 hours newborn screen (heel prick), hearing screen and heart defect screen. Vitals and weight check.

1 week vitals and newborn weight check

2 weeks vitals and newborn weight check

4 weeks newborn weight check

6 weeks ***in clinic*** Pap smear and labs
